Easy-to-make soft and cozy little rabbits (12" long x 8" high) take advantage of the super-cuddly quality of minky fabric. This rabbit is especially designed for snuggles! Simple embroidered faces guarantee the bunny will be ready for naps or bedtime…this little one loves to sleep!
Minky can be a bit tricky for beginning sewists, but this design uses a special technique to tame the minky quirks and enjoy its consummate softness. Can be confidently made even by beginners with just basic machine and hand-sewing skills.

What you'll need to make Sleepy Bunny:
- Minky fabric: ¼ yard (you’ll need 9” x 36”)
- Small piece of light pink polyester satin
- 8” x 7” 1 yard satin ribbon 11/2 inch width
- 1 skein embroidery floss or perle cotton - light pink or beige or brown, to contrast with your minky color
- Thread to match your minky color
- Polyester stuffing: 6 ounces
- Button and craft thread • Same color as your minky for sewing on ears and tail •
- White button and craft thread for whiskers
- Chopstick or turning stick
- Standard supplies: Sharp scissors, pins, needle for hand sewing.
- Recommended sewing machine needle is a size 90/14 stretch needle
- Optional: Disappearing marker for marking position of eyes, nose, mouth
